Pedestrian Struck In Central PA (
Developing
)
A person was struck by a vehicle in York County on Tuesday, Sept. 3, according to the York County Department of Emergency Services. The strike happened at the intersection of Red Rock Run and Pearl Drive in Penn Township around 7:30 a.m., dispatchers said. EMS was called to the scene but the extent of the pedestrian's injuries is unknown at the time of publishing. Check back here for updates.

A repeat sex offender from Philadelphia has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for possessing child pornography, authorities said. Christopher Daniels, 34, also was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Juan R. Sánchez to 15 years of supervised release for repeated child pornography and related offenses, U.S. Attorney Jacqueline C. Romero said on Wednesday, Aug. 28. A former high school triple threat athlete was found dead in Harrisburg according to his family and the Dauphin County Coroner's Office confirmed to Daily Voice on Monday, Sept. 2. Tolls Increase On These 4 Bridges Between NJ, PA For First Time Since 2011
Tolls are going up on four Delaware River Port Authority bridges between New Jersey and Pennsylvania on Sunday, Sept. 1 for the first time since 2011. The increase on the Ben Franklin, Betsy Ross, Commodore Barry, and Walt Whitman bridges went into effect at midnight. For passenger vehicles, motorcycles, and small trucks, tolls increased from $5 to $6. For recreational vehicles and mobile homes, tolls go up from $.7.50 to $9 per axle. Fatal Crash Involving Motorcycle Closes Part Of I-81: PennDOT
A fatal crash involving a motorcycle has closed part of Interstate 81 in Central Pennsylvania, Department of Transportation spokeswoman Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice on Saturday evening, Aug. 31. The deadly crash completely shuttered the southbound lanes of I-81 near the crash scene at mile marker 82 beginning around 5:30 p.m., Schreffler detailed. A 60-year-old man from Philadelphia has pleaded guilty to intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine, authorities said. James Pearcy pleaded guilty before Senior United States District Judge Kim R. Gibson on Aug. 20, U.S. Attorney Eric G. Olshan said. From January 2021 to around June 2021, in the Western District of Pennsylvania, Pearcy conspired with others to deal cocaine, Olshan said. The pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle outside a hotel near multiple amusement parks has been identified by the Lancaster County Coroner on Friday, Aug. 30. John Zimmerman, 72, original of Lititz but recently of Lancaster, died at the scene of the strike at 2270 Lincoln Highway East at Fairfield Inn, according to the coroner.
