While discussing the closure and relocation of the Middleton, Wisconsin corporate offices and warehouse scheduled to happen in June, the brand announced that it is adding jobs within Wisconsin and at two out-of-state facilities, according to a release by the company.

One facility is  in San Bernardino, California and the other is in Jonestown, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, according to the release.

"The move comes as American Girl has shifted to a fully-remote contact center and a hybrid (in-person/virtual) workplace for its corporate functions, along with efforts to upgrade and align the company’s operating systems across Mattel’s larger distribution network to improve service and efficiencies,"the company said in the release.

The current Mattel warehouse in Wisconsin features an outlet store, but is is unclear if the Pennsylvania one will ever have a storefront.

American Girl items are available at Barnes and Noble and independent specialty doll stores in Pennsylvania.
