Arson: Drunk Convict Tried To Burn Down Burlington Coat Factory In York A York County man has been charged in connection with arson at the Burlington Coat Factory, police announced on Jan. 4. 2024. Douglas Edward Frock, a 60-year-old York City native, is accused of attempting to burn down the Burlington Coat Factory located at 420 Town Center Drive, York on Dec. 18, 2023, as detailed by West Manchester police in a release.  He was supposedly drunk at the time of the arson attempt and this was during the store's open business hours.  His motive was not released, so Daily Voice reached out to the court for more information and has yet to hear back…

Pedestrian Struck Dead Leaving Sheetz: York County Coroner A man was struck dead crossing a road in York County on Monday evening, authorities announced.  The unidentified 58-year-old was hit by a 2001 Dodge Caravan driven by a 69-year-old Dillsburg man heading north in the far right lane of Carlisle Road near York Crossing Drive, West Manchester Police explained in a release on Tuesday.  The man was walking from Sheetz diagonally, not in a crosswalk, when he was struck around 9:15 p.m. on Sept. 4, according to the York County Coroner's Office report.  His time of death was 10:10 p.m. as certified by Deputy Coroner Scott Pennewell. …

Brad Striebig, 68, of the 2700 block of Crestview Drive in York Township, died at WellSpan Hospital York at 1:59 p.m., according to a release by the York County coroner’s office. $15K Reward Offered In York Target/FedEx Warehouse Arson Fires Authorities in York County are offering a $15,000 reward in a series of arson fires at a Target and FedEx warehouse. Several fires broke out at the West Manchester Township warehouse since June 2020. As a result, the multi-million-square-foot facility suffered severe damage, according to several law enforcement agencies in the area.
