County Fair Tragedy: Flying Tractor Debris Lodges Into PA Mom — Killing Her A 33-year-old Pennsylvania mom has died after part of a tractor broke off and hit her in the neck at a county fair, authorities said.  Brandy Horner was watching the tractor pull at the Union Couty West End Fair when "an exhaust wheel within a turbo housing became dislodged and ejected from its manifold," the wheel "then ejected from the metal covering of the tractor," and a piece of the wheel broke off and became lodged in her neck, according to the Pennsylvania State Police. The deadly debris impaled Brandy around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 11, according to the county coroner's office.  …

Central PA Man Crushed To Death By Tractor: Coroner An antique tractor crushed a Carlisle man to death on Saturday, authorities announced on Monday, July 17, 2023.  Richard Anderson had rebuilt the antique tractor indoors, washed it, and pulled it outside in the 2600 Block of Walnut Bottom Road Penn Township, Carlisle on July 15, the coroner's release detailed.   The 71-year-old turned the front crank to start it but the brakes failed— so it propelled forward "pinning him underneath," Cumberland County Coroner Charles Hall said.  Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple traumatic injuries and his death …

John Deere Tractor Rear-Ended By Sedan On Highway A John Deere tractor pulling a manure spreader was rear-ended on Route 322 on Friday, according to Northern Lancaster Regional County Police Department. The tractor was traveling along the side of the highway in Lancaster County, heading east when a sedan struck it in the rear, say NLCRPD. The tractor driver was taken to Lancaster General for treatment of multiple injuries, authorities said. No injuries were reported by the driver of the sedan. The crash remains under investigation, police said. Witnesses are encouraged to contact the NLCRPD.
