Fellow Inmate Charged For Dad's Death In Central Pennsylvania Prison The cause of death of a Pennsylvania father and inmate has been revealed and new charges have been filed, the Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo announced on Tuesday.  Michael Howard Butler II, 37 of Gratz, died following a "medical emergency" in his bunk in the Dauphin County Prison at 10:22 p.m. on Jan. 17, 2024, as Daily Voice previously reported.  It is now known that the emergency was caused by a fentanyl overdose from what Richard Leonard Weikel thought was heroin which he had smuggled into the prison in his shoe, the DA explained in the release on March 26.&n…

HS Junior Killed, Dad Of 4 Hospitalized In Head-On Crash At Dauphin/Schuylkill Line: PSP Multiple families have been affected by a deadly head-on crash at the Dauphin and Schuylkill counties lines. Ronald "RJ" Maichle, 17 of Gratz, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu east on Berry Road/PA Route 209 in Williams Township when he crossed over the center line and slammed into a 2021 Ford Escape, Pennsylvania State Police detailed in a release.
