A firefighter was injured in a fire at a Penn Waste facility on Tuesday night, according to a report by multiple media outlets. The fire broke out at Penn Waste Recycling in the 3600 block of Mia Brae Drive in Manchester Township just before 9 p.m. Mar. 8, Fox 43 reports. Approximately 40 employees were in the build when the fire started, the outlet reports citing York Area Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief Matt Arnold. A central Pennsylvania community is coming together to help a firefighter who was seriously hurt during a house fire that left one man dead. Crews were called to the fire in the 500 Block of Water Street in Royalton on Sunday shortly after 9 p.m., according to fire officials. Firefighter Injured, 4 Residents Displaced In Lancaster Fire
Two people-- including a firefighter-- were injured in a fire Lancaster on Friday night. Lancaster Township Fire Department responded to the house fire in the first block of Pickford Drive around 10:30 p.m. The fire started in the kitchen, spread to the attic and to the neighbor's house, according to officials. The Red Cross assisted three adults, a child and their pets with food, blankets and shelter. The estimated cost of the damage has not been made public.
