Videos Show PA Woman Mutilating, Torturing Animals
A Delaware County woman is facing charges for torturing animals in footage she shared online. Anigar Monsee, 28, of Upper Darby, mutilated and tortured the chickens, frogs, and bunnies, in footage shared to YouTube and other social media platforms, multiple news outlets including 6abc and NBC10. Monsee on Jan. 19 was charged with four counts of aggravated cruelty to animals by means of torture, court records show. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 5. Men Faked Armed Robberies In PA So 'Victims' Could Get Immigration Protection: FBI
Two New York men are accused of staging at least eight fake robberies so the store owners could receive immigration benefits, authorities said. Long Island resident Rambhai Patel, age 36, of Farmingdale, and New York City Balwinder Singh, age 39, of Queens, are charged with conspiracy to commit visa fraud, the U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts said. Upper Darby Mayor Barbarann Keffer was under the influence of alcohol when she crashed her car into a guardrail in Upper Chichester Thursday, Jan. 26, authorities said. Decomposing Body Found In Mattress In DelCo: Report
A decomposing body inside of a mattress was found overnight in Delaware County overnight, 6abc reports. Paramedics called to the 7000 block of Greenwood Avenue near Church Lane in Upper Darby around midnight found the woman's body in a back alley behind a row of twin homes, the outlet said. Missing Pennsylvania Man's Body Pulled From Marina: Reports
Authorities have called off the search for the Delaware County man who went missing on Christmas Eve and was found dead days later, various news reports say. Thomas Cortallessa's body was pulled from the Ridley Marina on Tuesday, Dec. 27 around 11 a.m., according to 6abc and CBS Philly. Upper Darby police on Dec. 24 asked for the public's help in finding 76-year-old Cortallessa, who they said was "last known to be driving his light blue 2013 Toyota Corolla." In an update on Facebook on Tuesday, Dec. 27, the department said it had found Cortallessa and his vehicle.
