Tractor-Trailer Fire On PA Turnpike Caught On Camera (Video) A tractor-trailer fire closed part of the Pennsylvania Turnpike on Thursday evening, authorities said.  The Fairview Township Fire Department along with mutual aid responded to the "well-involved" fire on Interstate 76 westbound around 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 19. Passenger ID'd After Airplane Crash Into Truck On PA Turnpike (Update) One person has died and another has been seriously hurt following a plane crash into a truck on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near the Capital City Airport, authorities say. Lawrence "Larry" Sager, 74, of Hummlestown died of multiple traumatic injuries from the crash at UPMC Harrisburg at 4:52 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023 and the plane is registered to Kenneth "Ken" Sager of Hummlestown, according to the FAA. Duvany Zambrano, 43, of Hamilton, NJ, and Sergio Jara, 37, of Allentown, PA, colluded with other unidentified co-conspirators to buy up thousands of the devices from retailers in both states, an FBI investigation found.
