Woman Struck In Hit-Run, Carlisle Police Say The search is on for the driver of a vehicle who fled after striking a woman in a crosswalk in Carlisle, police announced on Tuesday, March 12.  The woman was struck in the northbound crosswalk at West High and South West streets at 7:28 p.m. on March 9, the Carlisle police detailed in the release.   "The striking vehicle initially stopped, but did not provide any information to the pedestrian," and then continued to drive off, the police said.  The vehicle involved is described as a "2000's gray or darker-colored Hyundai, possibly Sonata;" and the driver is descri…

Pedestrian Struck In Lebanon, Authorities Say (Developing) A pedestrian was injured when they were struck in the City of Lebanon on Friday morning, according to Lebanon County Department of Emergency Services. The person was struck on 8th Street at the intersection with Chestnut Street at 7:15 a.m. on March 8, LCDES detailed. Pedestrian Struck In South Central PA (Developing) Someone was struck by a vehicle in South Central Pennsylvania on Wednesday afternoon, authorities say. The pedestrian or bicyclist was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Heidlersburg and Old Harrisburg roads in Tyrone Township just before 2 p.m. on Nov. 8, according to Adams County Emergency dispatchers.  Multiple EMS, and fire companies from Biglerville, York Springs, Heidlersburg, and Gettysburg, as well as state police have responded to the incident.  Details are limited at this time as this is a developing story, so check back here for updates.

Woman In Marked Crosswalk Struck Dead By Dump Truck In Pittsburgh: Authorities A woman in her 70s was struck dead by a dump truck in Pittsburgh on Wednesday afternoon, authorities say.  The unidentified woman was hit while crossing the street in the 5000 block of Second Avenue in Pittsburgh's Hazelwood neighborhood on Dec. 21 at 1:44 p.m., according to a release by Pittsburgh Public Safety.  The driver of the dump truck stayed on the scene where the woman was later declared deceased.
