Gettysburg Trooper Hit By Drunk VA Driver Hospitalized, PA State Police Say A 47-year-old Virginia man has been charged after injuring himself and a trooper while driving under the influence, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Tuesday, Feb. 27.  Jad Michael McGuinness of Lawrenceville, VA was driving a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 when he rear-ended a marked PA State Police 2022 Dodge Charger at a red light at Route 30/York Road at its intersection with Smith Road at 8:38 p.m. on Feb. 25, Investigating trooper Michael Kishbach detailed in the release.  The name of the trooper stuck was not shared, but Kishbach noted the trooper was a man from Gettysburg. …

Man In Stolen Vehicle With 3 Kidnapped Kids Leads Pennsylvania State Police On High-Speed Chase A 7, 12, and a 14-year-old boy were allegedly kidnapped by a man in a stolen vehicle in a Walmart parking lot in Gettysburg, on Sunday, Nov. 20, according to a release by the Pennsylvania state police the following evening.  44-year-old Jason Harris of York Springs supposedly hopped into the car— while under the influence— at a Walmart located at 1270 York Road.
