'Serious Injuries' Hospitalize 2 After Tree Falls On SUV: PA State Police Two people are in the hospital with "serious injuries" after a tree fell on their SUV on Wednesday, Pennsylvania State Police announced that evening. The tree landed on the Toyota Highlander along Kirkwood Pike/PA Route 472 in Quarryville, Colerain Township at 12:15 p.m. on April 3, PSP Trooper James Grothey detailed in the release. Heavy rain and winds uprooted the tree sending it down on the SUV's windshield — trapping the pair inside the vehicle, Grothey explained. House Bursts Into Flames After 2-Car Crash In Central PA (Photos) A bystander with a fire extinguisher and a Quarryville firefighter with a garden hose battled a house fire, following the two-vehicle crash in Quarryville on Thursday, authorities say.  The force of a two-vehicle crash sent a car into a home in the 900 block of Kirkwood Pike in Colerain Township at 8:20 p.m. on July 13, 2023, fire officials said.  When the fire crews arrived they found one vehicle in the road and the other one went into the "B" side of the house, according to the Quarryville Fire Department.  The car had been "pushed in the basement wall and was on fire," officials said.  …
