Traffic Crawling On I-81 After Tractor-Trailer Crash: PennDOT

A tractor-trailer crash during Tuesday's winter storm has slowed traffic to a crawl along Interstate 81 in Dauphin County, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

I-81 South closed one mile north of Exit 70: Interstate 83 South/Route 322 East- Harrisburg, according to PennDOT.

Traffic cameras showed approximately three miles of traffic back up and a trailer block the left lane of I-81 South and its tractor stopped on the median. 

Daily Voice has reached out to PennDOT officials for more information and was told around 1 p.m. that it was expected to clear soon.

There was no word on any injuries.
