96-Year-Old Killed In Adams County Crash: State Police A 96-year-old passenger died after two cars collided in Tyrone Township on Thursday night, July 4, authorities said in a release.  The crash happened on Route 234/East Berlin Road near Route 15 around 11:30 p.m., according to state police An eastbound Nissan Rogue was turning left onto the Route 15 onramp when it collided with a westbound Subaru Outback, crash investigators wrote.  Fuji A. Pedestrian Struck In South Central PA (Developing) Someone was struck by a vehicle in South Central Pennsylvania on Wednesday afternoon, authorities say. The pedestrian or bicyclist was hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Heidlersburg and Old Harrisburg roads in Tyrone Township just before 2 p.m. on Nov. 8, according to Adams County Emergency dispatchers.  Multiple EMS, and fire companies from Biglerville, York Springs, Heidlersburg, and Gettysburg, as well as state police have responded to the incident.  Details are limited at this time as this is a developing story, so check back here for updates.

HAZMAT: Asphalt Spills On US-15, PennDOT Officials Say (Update) A tanker truck carrying bituminous oil, commonly known as asphalt, crashed on US Route 15 on Thursday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.  The truck blew a tire and veered off US 15 going into the woods — spilling asphalt the entire time, according to PennDOT spokesperson Frizti Schreffler.  The crash happened in the northbound lanes near mile marker 19.4 in Tyrone Township around 8 a.m. on Aug. 17, as shown on 511pa.  Shortly after that crash, there was a crash (that possibly was due to rubbernecking) in the southbound lanes.
