Funeral Details Released For 13-Year-Old Cheerleader Na'Ryah Wright, Shot Dead In Pennsylvania Funeral details were released on Tuesday, Aug. 20, for a 13-year-old girl who was shot dead in Harrisburg. Na'Ryah (also known as Naryah) Raye Wright of Steelton was named as the victim of the shooting early Sunday morning, Aug. 11, the family confirmed to GoFundMe and Daily Voice previously reported.   The report of the shooting in the area of South 19th and Derry streets came into the police around 12:15 a.m. on Sunday, but they never found a victim or a shooter.  Na'Ryah later arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound. She "was rushed into surgery but later d…

Young Pennsylvania Cheerleader Raeann Merlino Dies After RSV, Influenza Battle Raeann Merlino, a fifth grader from West Pittston, died after being hospitalized on Thanksgiving Day with a combination of RSV and influenza, those who knew her said. She was 10 years old. Rae was rushed to CHOP as the illnesses wreaked havoc on her vital organs, according to a GoFundMe page launched the girl's family. She died on Sunday, Dec. 4.
