The kosher-certified vegan café, The Vegetable Hunter has made the list (in no particular order) of best vegan dogs for it's Nacho Hot Dog.
The boutique brewery serves up vegan favorites along with amazing brews-- including kombucha, which is now being carried at three area Gaint grocery stores, according to the restaurant's Facebook page.
The PETA favorite Nacho Hot Dog is a house-made seitan hot dog topped with chipotle black beans, nacho cheese, ketchup, and mustard in a toasted bun served with your choice of kale or chickpea salad.
“The Vegetable Hunter’s Nacho Hot Dog is not your tired old meaty dog — with its perfect blend of two favorite snack foods, it’s as delicious as it is kind to animals,” PETA President Ingrid Newkirk said.
If you are on the other side of the Susquehanna River and don't want to wade through traffic for a dog, here's some news you'll relish; starting in July the Vegetable Hunter is expanding with a second location opening in Carlisle.
“All of PETA’s award wieners make it easy to declare our independence from meat this Fourth of July,” Newkirk said.
