A tractor-trailer rolled over on Interstate 81 on-ramp in Cumberland County on Wednesday morning, Oct. 9, according to officials. Only the trailer flipped at the on-ramp from Exit 52 — Route 11/New Kingston/Middlesex, from Route 11 to I-81 South, according to PennDOT's 511PA traffic cameras. There's lane restriction on Interstate 81 following a multiple vehicle crash on Friday evening, Sept. 27, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler told Daily Voice. Emergency crews were called to the scene of the crash on on I-81 southbound 1.1 miles north of Exit 57: PA 114 - Mechanicsburg at 6:08 p.m., according to PennDOT's 511PA. Camper Overturns On I-81 In Lebanon: PennDOT
An overturned camper closed a portion of Interstate 81 on Wednesday, Sept. 25, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials told Daily Voice. The camper flipped over on I-81 South at mile marker 84 in East Hanover Township around 11:30 a.m. The interstate closed for the towing between Exit 85: PA 934 - Annville/ Fort Indiantown Gap and Exit 80: PA 743 - Grantville/Hershey. A former college baseball player was struck dead on Interstate 81 on Sunday, Aug. 25, the Cumberland County Coroner Charley Hall told Daily Voice. Quinton J. Heckard, 26, of Hummelstown, was hit by a tractor-trailer on I-81 South at mile marker 61.7 at 8:13 a.m., according to Hall.
