Hotboxing Teen Drives Car On PA Highway With Stoned Woman Police Say

A woman and a teenager hotboxed, or smoked marijuana in a car, and then the unlicensed teen drove on the highway and on main streets in Wormsleyburg, police say.

The teen committed a traffic violation on the Harvey Taylor Bypass and North Front Street, Wormleysburg on Valentine's Day just after 1 a.m., according to the East Pennsboro Township police. 

The 24-year-old passenger, Miranda Joy Remata of Fayetteville, had allowed the 15-year-old to smoke and then drive the vehicle, according to the police. 

Marijuana was also found on Remata, who had also been smoking, according to the release. 

Charges of corruption of minors and drug-related offenses were filed and a preliminary hearing was scheduled at Magisterial District Judge Sanderson's office, police say.
