Accused Nancy Pelosi Laptop Thief Returns To Ren Faire: Reports

The Mechanicsburg woman accused of stealing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s laptop during the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol will be heading to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire for a second time, according to numerous outlets citing court documents.

Riley Williams, 25, has been granted permission to visit the annual event in Manheim a second time, PennLive reports.

She was spotted in photos and videos breaking into the United States Capitol Building on Jan. 6, 2021, and stealing Pelosi’s laptop before later disposing of it, FBI officials previously said.

She was arrested Jan. 18, and later indicted on the charges obstructing an official proceeding; assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers; theft of government property; entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricting building or grounds; disorderly conduct in a capitol building; and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a capitol building, according to court records.

Williams has remained confined to house arrest since January 21, 2021, with exceptions only for work, school, health treatment, attorney visits and court obligations.

This RenFaire request was her second, the first was Granted for August 21, 2022 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., CBS21 reports citing updated court documents.

This second visit to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire will take place on September 17, from 10 a.m. until 11 p.m. after it was approved by an assistant US attorney,  according to the outlet.

The PA RenFaire is only open from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 9 p.m. on Sundays, according to its Facebook page
