Every woman at home alone's worst nightmare came true when a group of men posing as home improvement contractors entered her home last Wednesday, police in West Chester said. Three men were going door-to-door on Nov. 22 claiming to represent Everest Roofing & Masonry contracting — a company that does not exist, according to a release from WCPD. At one woman's home, a man who introduced himself as "Jimmy" handed over an Everest Roofing business card before going into her house and sexually assaulting her, investigators said. Man Sought For Assault At West Chester Bar: Authorities
At least one person was injured in an assault at a West Chester bar early Sunday morning, Nov. 19, according to borough police. Authorities said they were called to Ryan’s Pub at 124 W. Gay Street around 1:15 a.m. for an altercation. The assault remains under investigation, WCPD said. Police are asking anyone who can identify the pictured suspect should email Officer Graham at ngraham@west-chester.com.

A West Chester man spent his birthday behind bars after authorities say he shot and wounded another during a booze-fueled fight downtown. Vaughn Yanko had just turned 22 when he left a bar with a group of people in the early morning hours on Sunday, Jan. 22, said the Chester County District Attorney's Office in a statement. A passenger of a stolen car died after the driver crashed into a tree in Chester County, authorities said. Gordy Tate, 25, was driving the stolen car when officers tried to stop him on the 100 block of West Chestnut Street in West Chester around 7:15 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, according to the West Chester Police Department. Police are seeking the public's help in locating a 17-year-old girl who has gone missing in the Philadelphia area. Lila Rose Ramirez Gabr was last seen in the Mount Airy neighborhood, where she may have boarded a SEPTA bus around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 28, West Chester police said. Police in Chester County are looking for a contractor who ran off with thousands of dollars for a job he never completed. James Naylor Small is facing contractor fraud charges after a victim told police that they paid Small more than $30,000 to complete work, but Small never finished it, according to the West Chester Police Department. Woman Was DUI At West Chester Checkpoint, Police Say
A 34-year-old woman was charged with DUI after being stopped at a checkpoint in West Chester last month, authorities said. Abigail McCourt, of Downingtown, was pulled over at the checkpoint in the 600 block of E. Market Street around 11:15 p.m. on Oct. 8, according to the West Chester Police Department. Officers said she seemed impaired. McCourt was charged with DUI and released on a summons. A preliminary hearing is pending at District Court 15-1-04.

Female Groped On West Chester Street, Police Say
Police are seeking the public's help identifying a man who they say groped a woman on a West Chester street last week. A "female victim" was walking south in the 50 block of South High Street around 12:25 a.m. on Sept. 14 when a group of three white, college-aged men was walking north toward her, West Chester police said. As the group of men passed her, one of them groped her breast and continued walking north, police said. A 22-year-old Lehigh County man was charged with DUI and related charges after he struck a police car and fled the scene last weekend, authorities in Chester County said. A mom in West Chester left her three young children home alone while she went out and overdosed, according to West Chester Police Department police. Emily A. McKee, 33, left her children at her at her home in the 100 block of East Gay Street shortly before 11:45 p.m. on March 27.
