West Chester Woman Charged With Baseball Bat Attack A West Chester woman is accused of beating another with a baseball bat, according to Westtown-East Goshen police.  Authorities said it happened on the 200 block of Baldwin Drive in East Goshen on Oct. 29.  Officers spoke with the alleged victim, who had "physical injuries consistent with the assault," and arrested 20-year-old Shakira S. Boyer, the department said.  Boyer is charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was released after posting 10 percent of her $10,000 bail, court records show.  She is due back before a judge for her preliminary hea…

West Chester Employee Stole $5K From Borough, Police Say A West Chester parking officer faces more than just a ticket after police say he was caught stealing cash from the Borough's coffers.  Hector Mojica, a 59-year-old from Lancaster County, is accused of stealing $5,000 while working for West Chester's Parking Enforcement Division, said borough police in a statement.  The former borough employee is charged with three felonies, including theft and receiving stolen property, police added. Mojica was booked Wednesday, Jan. 11 and released on $10,000 bail, court records show.

Pennsylvania Woman Gored By Bison At Yellowstone National Park A 71-year-old Pennsylvania woman was the second person in three days to be gored by a bison at Yellowstone National Park, according to park officials. The unnamed West Chester woman and her daughter came across the animal while returning to the car at the Yellowstone Lake trailhead — causing him to charge on Wednesday, June 29. The woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries after the encounter and was transported by ambulance to West Park Hospital in Cody, Wyoming.
