'You're Going To Be A Dad!' Allentown Trench Collapse Victim Learns In Final Moments Of Rescue
"You're going to be a dad!" Those were the words that the construction worker heard as he was being pulled out of the Allentown trench he'd been trapped inside for hours. The unnamed victim became trapped Wednesday, Jan. 11, while digging in the backyard of a home at 15th and Gordon streets when the trench caved in around 2 p.m., officials said. It took hours to get him out, but as they did around 10:15 p.m., his wife delivered the happy news, that she was pregnant with their first child, city officials said.

Pregnant Woman, Unborn Baby Die In Allentown Car Crash, Coroner Says
A pregnant woman and her unborn baby died in a car crash in Allentown, authorities said. Sara M. Baskerville, of Allentown, was pronounced dead at St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem at 2:39 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office. She was 35. Baskerville was the back-seat passenger in a car that struck another vehicle in the area of American Parkway and N. Irving Street around 2:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14, officials said. The pregnant wife of a Pennsylvania firefighter died in a car crash last week, authorities said. Kellie Adams, of Lansdale, and the baby girl she was expecting with husband Jason died in a crash on Thursday, Aug. 25, according to her obituary. Kellie and Jason, married for eight years, also shared two boys together. Jason is a firefighter in Upper Providence Township. Tamarra Deloache, 32, of York, was found dead in a home in the first block of North State Street at midnight on Wednesday, May 18, according to the county coroner's office. A teenage girl-- who is pregnant-- has been reported as missing, according to a release by police. Loritta Smith, 16, of Carlisle, is seven months pregnant, and has not been seen since she left her family's home on Monday night, according to a release by Carlisle police.
