Police: Man Drags Pregnant GF Out Of Car, Beats Her, Leaves Her On Pottstown Pike A man was arrested after police say he dragged his pregnant girlfriend out of her car, beat her, and drove off -- leaving her on a road in West Whiteland Township last week. Witnesses told police they saw a man later identified as James J. Smith fleeing the scene in his girlfriend's car while she lay injured on Pottstown Pike April 14, according to West Whiteland Det.
