Pottstown Harley Rider Busted For DUI In North Coventry, Police Say A Pottstown man was busted on DUI charges while riding his motorcycle through North Coventry, authorities said. Officers stopped Jeffrey Lawrence, 49, after they noticed he failed to signal while making multiple turns on his Harley Davidson motorcycle on Sept. 3, North Coventry police said. Officers determined Lawrence was operating his motorcycle under the influence of an "intoxicating substance" and was subsequently arrested, police said. Lawrence was processed at the Pottstown Police Station and later released to his daughter. Charges will be filed with District Court 15-3-01.

1 Dead, 1 Injured In North Coventry Crash One person died and another was injured in a North Coventry Crash Friday morning. One car was facing east against the north side guide rail of West Schuylkill Road and the other facing north across both lanes around 11:50 a.m., North Coventry police said. The driver of the car on the north side guide rail was unresposive and extricated by police and EMS, while the other was evaluated by EMS for head, chest and knee pain, authorities said. Meanwhile, the unresponsive driver was taken to Pottstown Hospital Tower Health and later pronounced dead. An investigation was ongoing.

A man was caught on surveillance footage getting into a maroon-colored van -- possibly a Toyota Sienna -- around 5:55 p.m. Friday, North Coventry police said. The man then backed into a parked car at the Flag Ship Cinema (650 W. Schuylkill Rd.), inspected the damage and drove away,  authorities said.
