Three-year-old Kayden Barnes has died after shooting herself in the face this weekend, police in Philadelphia said. The incident happened on the 500 block of East Chelten Avenue in the city's 14th District around 1:15 p.m. Saturday, April 6, according to police. A 4-year-old girl was hospitalized with a gunshot wound in Philadelphia on Thursday evening, March 28, city police say. Authorities said it happened just after 7 p.m. on the 2400 block of 79th Avenue. The victim was struck once in the abdomen in a bathroom at a residence, police said. Two Philadelphia officers were struck by a private vehicle on their way to a call, police announced on Monday night. The patrol vehicle was struck at the intersection of 16th Street and Norris Street in the 22nd District at approximately 8:29 p.m. on Feb. 12, the police explained in a release about an hour later.
