Downingtown Police Investigating Possible Child Luring Incident
Police are investigating after a woman allegedly attempted to lure a Downingtown Area School District student. The child reported being approached by an adult while standing at a bus stop on Mary Street around 7:15 a.m. Tuesday, according to school district officials and Downingtown police. The adult was described as a white woman with brown hair and missing teeth, police said. She was reportedly driving a small white sedan. The make and model were not immediately known. A Chester County man was sentenced to five and a half to 12 years behind bars for reportedly killing a 47-year-old man while driving drunk on Route 30 in 2019, authorities said. When an Exton bar refused to serve any more alcohol to Charles Gorman, 30, of Coatesville, he drove to a Planet Fitness in Downingtown and got into an argument with someone in the parking lot on Oct. 23, 2019, according to the Chester County District Attorney's Office. DA: Chester County Assailant Sentenced For Assault Of Two Women On Running Trail
A 61-year-old Chester County assailant was sentenced to up to 23 months in prison for assaulting two women on the Struble Trail in 2019, authorities announced. Downingtown police responded to a report of a woman who was assaulted as she jogged on the trail on May 19, 2019, according to the Chester County District Attorney's Office.
