A 15-months and 14-days-old boy has been identified after being struck by a Norfolk Southen Train on Thursday. Landis Sensenig Newswanger was hit by a Norfolk Southern train running along the tracks in his backyard in the 400 block of West Main Street, South Newton Township, Cumberland County at 10:04 a.m. on Dec. 7, according to state police and later identified in his obituary. A 1-year-old girl trapped in her crib died in a Berks County house fire over the weekend, officials said. Crews responded to the blaze on Philadelphia Avenue in Cumru Township around 4:30 a.m. Saturday, May 13. The flames had spread to surrounding homes and all occupants were evacuated, except for the baby, who was found dead in her crib on the third floor of one of the homes despite rescue efforts, 6abc reports.
