Roger Hanks Kills Wife, Daughter: ChescoDA
A 76-year-old man has been arrested for killing his wife and daughter, the Chester County District Attorney’s Office and the Pennsylvania State Police Avondale announced on Friday afternoon. Roger Lee Hanks originally of Virginia most recently of Kennett Square is accused of shooting his wife and adult daughter during a dispute "in the early evening hours of April 25," as stated in the release. DUI Driver In Chesco Fell Asleep At Wheel With 3-Year-Old In Car: State Police
A West Chester woman is accused of falling asleep on the road with a 3-year-old girl in the car, troopers said in a release. The woman, 35, was found in the travel lanes of Commons Drive in Lower Oxford on the morning of March 13, according to state police. Her name was not reported. Police believe she was under the influence of drugs and said they found "open bags of heroin/fentanyl" in plain view. She was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, DUI, and drug offenses, and is being held at the Chester County prison, troopers said.

Philadelphia Man Raped Child, Chester County Court Finds
A Philadelphia man was convicted on multiple felony counts including rape and indecent assault of a child in a Chester County court on Wednesday, Feb. 28, authorities say. Gregory Shamberger, 59, first came under investigation in August 2021, Parkesburg police wrote in a release. Detectives said he sexually assaulted the victim multiple times. Chester County detectives assisted Parkesburg police in the investigation, the department said.
