In a news release on Monday, May 6, Atlantic City police said 19-year-old Ashan Jackson of Galloway was wanted in a shooting on Wednesday, Mar. 13. He was facing two counts of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. At 9:06 p.m. on Sunday, July 3, Officer Matthew Talavera conducted a motor vehicle stop in the 2000 block of Atlantic Avenue.   During the stop, Jovy Delphine was placed in custody after being found in possession of a loaded handgun, police said. Man Critical After Setting Himself On Fire In Atlantic City, Police Say A man who set himself on fire overnight in Atlantic City was in critical condition as of Saturday afternoon, authorities said. The 24-year-old Somers Point man was found with severe burns by police on the 2000 block of Atlantic Avenue around midnight, police said. An attendant from the gas station used a fire extinguisher to put the flames out.
