'Large-Scale' Burglary Ring Targeted Homes In Lehigh Valley And Beyond, DA Says
Half a dozen people are charged in connection with a "large-scale" home burglary scheme, according to the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office.
At a press conference on Friday, April 26, prosecutors and law enforcement said an organized ring of thieves stole more than $160,000 in goods from homes in Lehigh, Berks and Northampton counties.
They also targeted at least one home in Warren Township, New Jersey, authorities said.

Allentown Teen Pedestrian Struck Dead In Whitehall ID'd By Coroner (Updated)
A teenager has died after being hit by a car in Whitehall Township on Monday, April 8, according to officials.
Emmanuel Gboyah, 15, of Allentown, was struck on the 1100 block of MacArthur Road around 8:30 p.m., the Lehigh County Coroner's Office said in a release.
He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest where he was pronounced dead, officials said. His cause of death was blunt force injuries and the manner of death was accidental, Coroner Daniel A. Buglio said following an autopsy on Wednesday, April 10.

PA Mom Who Died After Crash Was '5-Foot Woman With Giant Personality,' Daughter Says
Iris Crystal Mercado, an Allentown mother, and New Jersey native, died from injuries sustained in a car crash on Sunday, March 31, authorities said. She was 37.
Mercado, called Crystal by friends and loved ones, was hospitalized after a wreck on Route 22 in South Whitehall on Feb. 3, state police have said.
Her daughter Ciara Rodriguez said Mercado was "a 5-foot woman with the personality of a giant."

Suspect Crashed Into Two Cars During Allentown Police Chase, Authorities Say
A police pursuit in Allentown on Wednesday, March 13 ended in two accidents and an arrest, city police said in a release.
Johnathan Pacheco, 32, is charged with multiple offenses including criminal trespassing, fleeing police, and assault, authorities said.
Officers were called to the 800 block of Greenleaf Street around 10:30 a.m. for a suspicious vehicle, authorities said. Pacheco fled when they arrived and police gave chase, according to the release.

Residential Fire Was Set By Arsonist, Allentown Police Say
One man is accused of arson after authorities responded to a residential fire in Allentown early Monday morning, Feb. 26, according to city police.
Police were called to the 600 block of West Green Street just before 3 a.m. and arrived to find a burning home, the department said.
Max Nadal, a 30-year-old city resident, was arrested after an investigation and charged with felony arson, felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor simple assault, and summary harassment, police said.
Court documents for his case were not immediately available Monday afternoon.

Undercover Bust: 5 People Seeking Sex With Teens Met By Detectives In Berks County, DA Says
Five people seeking sex with teens have been arrested in an undercover Berks County sting, authorities said.
All five individuals responded to an ad, posted on Monday, Jan. 19 by detectives, offering sex with 14- and 15-year-old juveniles at various locations in Berks County, the county district attorney's office announced.
The individuals agreed to meet up and have sex with the "teens," but instead were met by detectives and promptly arrested, District Attorney John T. Adams said.
