Hit-Run Driver Sought In Philly Area School Bus Crash, Police Say
Authorities in Delaware County are searching for the driver who they say crashed into a school bus and fled the scene. Nether Providence Township police said a commercial truck hit a Wallingford-Swarthmore School District bus near the intersection of Providence Road and Meadow Lane just after 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26. No one on the bus was injured in the accident, officials added. The truck is described as an orange tree trimming truck, possibly Asplundh brand, with a white commercial logo on the doors. I-78 Crash Victim Was 25-Year-Old 'Devoted Mother' From Lehigh Valley
Five people were killed in two separate crashes on Dec. 14 on I-78 eastbound in Berks County, authorities said. One of the victims was 25-year-old Thalia Jackson, of Easton, the county coroner's office confirmed on Dec. 16. She was the front-seat passenger in a Nissan Xterra driven by a 58-year-old from Phillipsburg, according to Pennsylvania State Police. A Gettysburg Area High School student was hit in the crosswalk by a school bus, authorities say. A school bus (van) crash in Lebanon County has become a fatal accident, after the bus driver died from his injuries, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Larry Schauer, 72 of Lebanon, died at a local hospital from injuries he sustained in the crash on Thursday, according to the Lancaster County Coroner.
