Quakertown Pedestrian, 83, Killed In Accident On Route 309: Officials An 83-year-old pedestrian is dead following a crash in Quakertown on Monday, Sept. 4, according to the Bucks County Coroner's Office.  The victim was hit by a vehicle on Route 309 on Saturday, Sept. 2, the Coroner Meredith Buck said.  He died from multiple injuries and the manner was ruled accidental, authorities said. The Coroner's Office did not name the victim but said he was a Montgomery County resident.  Quakertown police have not announced any charges in connection with the fatal accident as of Friday, Sept. 8.

Bucks Family Killed In House Fire Believed Started By Christmas Tree A Pennsylvania family died in a fire started by their Christmas tree overnight, 6abc reports. Heavy flames shot through the roof of the two-story Essex Court home in Quakertown around 1:30 a.m., claiming the lives of a father, his two sons and two family dogs. The victims were identified as Eric King, 40, Liam, 11, and Patrick, 8.
