A Bucks County man has died from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash in Middletown Township on early Wednesday, April 26, authorities have announced. The victim, a 23-year-old Levittown man, was headed north on Oxford Valley Road "at a very high rate of speed" around 2:15 a.m., Middletown police wrote in a release. He lost control of his black Lexus, exiting the roadway and colliding with a vinyl fence and then a tree, police said. Police in Bucks County are looking for a suspect in connection with a strong-arm robbery last month at a Bensalem Walmart store. The man walked into the Horizon Boulevard store and approached the register to purchase two gift cards around 7:45 p.m. on Friday, May 20, Bensalem police said. A speeding SUV hit several poles and went airborne before landing on two cars early Saturday morning in Philadelphia, killing a woman and a boy, and leaving several others seriously hurt, police said. Amber Shanta, 34, and Tai'rhey Brown, 11, were pronounced dead at the scene on the 4300 block of Roosevelt Boulevard just before 12:30 a.m., Philadelphia police said. Photos from the scene indicate firefighters extricated at least one victim in a Lexus SUV that had collided with a Toyota sedan on York Road near Cherry Street. Delaware County Duo In Stolen Car Hit SEPTA During Police Pursuit
A Delaware County duo were in police custody after crashing a stolen SUV into a SEPTA bus Wednesday night, 6abc Action News reports. Footage from the scene shows a Lexus SUV with heavy front-end damage against the back of the bus at MacDade Boulevard. Authorities pursued the suspects until 7 p.m., when the pair collided with the bus near the MacDade Mall in Holmes, 6abc says.
