A 76-year-old man has been arrested for killing his wife and daughter, the Chester County District Attorney’s Office and the Pennsylvania State Police Avondale announced on Friday afternoon. Roger Lee Hanks originally of Virginia most recently of Kennett Square is accused of shooting his wife and adult daughter during a dispute "in the early evening hours of April 25," as stated in the release. Authorities are investigating after a Po-Mar-Lin company firetruck wrecked in Kennett Square on Saturday morning, Feb. 23. The fire engine had its lights and siren on and was headed to a call when it crashed near Landhope Farms, 101 E. Street Road, around 11 a.m., state police said. The driver accused of fleeing the scene of a two-car crash in Kennett Square is now also accused of driving under the influence, authorities say. Four former workers at a Kennet Square company wrote phony checks for over a year to steal more than $130,000 from their ex-boss, according to borough police. Authorities said they were contacted by a West State Street business in April about fraudulent bank activity. Southern Chester County Regional Police are looking for the trio that broke into a Kennett Square smoke shop last month. The three burglars made their way inside the Smoke & Vape at New Garden Center around 3:15 a.m. on Oct. 25, the department said.
