Police Detective Hospitalized After Rescuing Dog From Mercer County House Fire A police detective was hospitalized after rescuing a dog from a house fire in Mercer County, authorities said. Officers responding to 109 Browning Ave. in Ewing saw smoke billowing from the home around 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, the Ewing Police Department said.
