Kidnapped: Thief Steals Car With PA Woman Sleeping Inside, Authorities Say A 34-year-old woman was abducted when a thief stole the car she was sleeping in early Monday morning, March 4, according to Philadelphia police.  It happened on the 800 block of East Allegheny Avenue in Kensington just before 2 a.m., the department said.  Investigators believe the carjacker stole the silver 2012 Buick Verona and fled north on the 3200 block of G Street. Kensington Stabbing: Man Attacked Near SEPTA Station A 40-year-old man is hospitalized in critical condition after he was stabbed near a Kensington SEPTA station early Wednesday morning, Feb. 28, according to city police.  It happened on the 800 block of East Allegheny Avenue around 1:50 a.m., authorities said.  The victim was stabbed once in the left side of the back and rushed to Temple University Hospital, police said. No weapons were recovered from the scene and no suspects are in custody as of midday Wednesday.

Michael Smith-Davis Charged In 2022 Nonuple Shooting: Police More than a year after nine people were hurt in a Kensington shooting, one man faces criminal charges, Philadelphia police announced.  Michael Smith-Davis, 25, was arrested Thursday, Jan. 11 for attempted murder, criminal conspiracy, aggravated assault, and related counts, said city police in a release.  The shooting happened late on Nov. 5, 2022, authorities have said.
