Barricaded Suspect Found Hiding In Closet After 9-Hour Standoff: Bethlehem PD Bethlehem police arrested a wanted man following a nine-hour barricade at an 11th Avenue home on Wednesday, Oct. 25.  Brian George Lichtenwalner, 31, was taken into custody on multiple bench warrants out of Monroe County, authorities said.  Lichtenwalner had been sought on charges related to disarming a law enforcement officer, possessing drugs in a prison, and various DUI offenses when Bethlehem police learned he was in the city on Wednesday morning.  Authorities surrounded the residence around 10 a.m. but could not convince Lichtenwalner to come out or speak with them, BPD said.  By ar…

The man reportedly threatened an elderly woman around 4 p.m. on the 15100 block of Milford Street and then refused to come outside, city police said. A barricade was declared just after 4:05 p.m. after the victim was able to escape. The scene was active as of 4:40 p.m.
