Eric Holmes, 76, was near the corner of East Sharpnack and Ross Streets at about 2 p.m. on Oct 17. when an unknown assailant beat him up, Philadelphia police say. The attacker made off with Holmes' wallet, a bag, and a black electric scooter, they added.
Holmes was hospitalized but died from his injuries almost two months later on Dec. 6, according to detectives.
