A warrant for the arrest of Charles Barton was issued Sept. 15, 2020, in connection with a June 1, 2020 incident, when officers found a methamphetamine “cook” lab in his home, Upper Southampton Township police said.

Officers arrived at 24 Belmont Station around 3:10 p.m. on reports of burglary with three possible suspects, police said.

When they went inside the home to conduct interviews, they noticed drug paraphernalia in plain view, so they obtained a search warrant, police said.

A search of the home turned up a suspected “cook” lab and subsequent testing proved that the drugs were methamphetamine, police said.

Barton is being charged with operating a methamphetamine lab near a school or playground, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance risking a catastrophe, and reckless endangerment, police said.

Barton was arraigned by District Justice Vislosky who set his bail at $950k which he was unable to post.

He is currently sitting in the Bucks County Correctional Facility in Doylestown.
