Garcia, 33, of Philadelphia, was previously accused of sexually assaulting patients under the guise of performing medical exams at Carbon Health on The Fairway in Jenkintown.
He is now charged with aggravated indecent assault, invasion of privacy, indecent assault without consent, harassment–lewd/lascivious acts, impersonating a license holder (nurse), wiretap violations for the illegal use of his cellphone, and possessing an instrument of crime, according to the District Attorney's Office.
Garcia was previously charged with aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, and invasion of privacy last month, Abington police said at the time.
“This defendant, who was not a nurse, took advantage of the trust that patients extend to true medical professionals by assaulting and violating them,” said DA Kevin Steele.
“I commend these victims—as well as the first two victims who came forward—for having the courage to go to police to share what happened to them.”
According to investigators, Garcia "had performed two physical exams of the vagina and surrounding areas; performed a hands-on breast exam; watched as patients changed into medical gowns and in a couple of instances, photographed parts of their bodies; placed victim’s hands on his leg/groin area while drawing their blood; and secretly photographing or videotaping patients in exam rooms or the bathrooms of the medical facility."
He's also accused of giving patients his cell phone number and making inappropriate comments during the "examinations," the DA's Office said.
He was arraigned on the new charges Thursday, April 11 by Magisterial District Judge John D. Kessler, who set bail at $150,000 cash, in addition to his previous bail of $99,000, according to prosecutors.
A preliminary hearing for all the charges has been scheduled for May 3, the DA's Office said.
