Murder-Suicide Couple ID'd In York County: Coroner A husband shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself in York County on Saturday, April 8, 2023, authorities say.  Ronald Kinard, 85, was found dead in the yard of a home in the 6600 block of Sunrise Avenue in Wrightsville, Hellam Township and was pronounced dead at 11:38 a.m.; Grace Kinard, 85, was found inside the home with several gunshot wounds to chest and neck and was pronounced dead at 12:11 p.m. by York County Deputy Coroner Onalee Gilbert and Supervising Deputy Coroner Molly York. 12-Year-Old Boy Shot At Sleepover In Red Lion ID'd A 12-year-old boy has been identified after he was shot during a sleepover in Red Lion. Kain Heiland was pronounced dead at 9:48 p.m. on Saturday,April 1, 2023 by York County Deputy Coroner Scott Pennewell, according to a release by the office the following day.  Kain was later identified by a family friend, which has been verified by Daily Voice.  The coroner's office was called to a "reported fatality of a juvenile after a shooting incident" in the first block of First Avenue in Red Lion Borough at 8:55 p.m., as stated in the release.  The cause of death was "a gunshot wound to the che…

Inmate Dies Returning From Work Release In York County: Coroner A 28-year-old inmate has died on his way back to the York County Prison from work release, authorities say.  Prison officials attempted to revive the unnamed man but he was pronounced deceased on Monday, March 27 at 9:50 a.m. and his death was certified by York County Deputy Coroner Michele Kirchner, according to a release by the coroner's office.  His name will reportedly be release following his autopsy which is scheduled for the inmate Tuesday at around 10 a.m. at the Lehigh Valley Hospital.
