York County Man, 55, Dies In Vehicle Fire: Police Authorities are investigating a deadly vehicle fire in Manchester Township.  Northern York Regional police were called to the 2400 block of Pin Oak Drive around 11:50 p.m. Thursday, May 23. They arrived to find a white 1994 GMC Safari minivan fully engulfed in flames.  York Area United Fire and Rescue extinguished the fire and 55-year-old Thomas Rooney was found dead in the van, police said. Firefighter Injured In Penn Waste Fire: Reports A firefighter was injured in a fire at a Penn Waste facility on Tuesday night, according to a report by multiple media outlets. The fire broke out at Penn Waste Recycling in the 3600 block of Mia Brae Drive in Manchester Township just before 9 p.m. Mar. 8, Fox 43 reports.
