Homeowner Shoots Burglar In Central PA, Police Say A burglar was shot by the owner of the home they were breaking into on Sunday, May 14, 2023, police announced the following morning.  The New Cumberland Borough of Police Department was called to the burglary in the 300 block of Second Street at 8:14 p.m. When officers arrived, they learned that the homeowner shot the suspect and they fled the scene.
