Man Dies 12 Days After Serious Central PA Crash, Police Say
A man has died in the hospital from injuries sustained in a serious car crash the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department announced on Monday, April 22. Malcolm Parker, 74 of Lancaster City, was taken to an area hospital follow a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Main Street and New Street in East Petersburg Borough, Stevens that happened around 3:53 p.m. on April 7, the department detailed in the release. Crash Closes Roadway In Waynesboro, Police Say
A crash in Waynesboro shut down an intersection, police announced on Tuesday afternoon. The police notified the press about the crash at the intersection of South Potomac and West Fifth streets in Waynesboro at 3:45 p.m. on April 9. The public was asked to avoid the area. The intersection reopened at 4:27 p.m. according to an updated release. Details about the crash were not immediately available so check back here for updates.

Tractor-Trailer Rollover Crash On I-81 Clears: PennDOT
A tractor-trailer crash caused miles of delays on Interstate 81, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials told Daily Voice on Tuesday, April 2. The tractor-trailer rolled over after it crashed at mile marker 93.5 on I-81 northbound at 1 p.m. on April 2, PennDOT spokesperson Fritzi Schreffler explained. Traffic was diverted starting at Exit 90: PA 72 - LEBANON and all lanes were closed through Exit 100: PA 443 - PINE GROVE. There is no word from the scene about any injuries, and it is unknown what was in the trailer. The roadway reopened at 5 p.m.

Trooper Who Crashed Patrol Vehicle Not Charged: Pennsylvania State Police
A trooper who crashed his patrol vehicle into a street sign will not be charged, according to a Pennsylvania State Police release on Thursday, March 7. Trooper Daniel C. Miley of Chambersburg, was attempting to turning into a parking area when he crashed the PSP vehicle at 3:07 p.m. on Feb. 25, investigating Trooper Kurtis Killian detailed in the release. A hazardous materials clean-up crew was called to a cracking situation in Mercersburg. The tractor-trailer carrying eggs had some of its cargo break open and leak into the West Branch Conococheague Creek, according to the Mercersburg Area Fire Fighters and EMTs, IAFF Local 5421. The emergency crews were called to the mess in the 9100 block of Heisey Road around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2023. The road reopened later that day.

A massive drag race in Pennsylvania ended with a State Police vehicle being struck and troopers getting medically evaluated, authorities announced on July 21, 2023. Troopers had received multiple reports of approximately 50 vehicles drag racing and doing burnouts on the Fort Pitt Bridge around 3:35 a.m. on Friday. A tractor-trailer scrapped against the underpass of a railroad bridge— with a train on it— and ended up shearing off the roof of its trailer in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, August 31, authorities say.
