Horse Striking Vehicle Causes Amish Buggy Crash In Quarryville: Authorities A spooked horse caused a crash in Quarryville earlier this week, a local fire company said.  The horse was pulling an Amish family's buggy, when it was suddenly "spooked and hit another vehicle," the Quarryville Fire Company told Daily Voice.  The rollover horse-and-buggy crash happened in front of the Drumore Township Illustrious Americans historical marker on US Route 222/Robert Fulton Highway near Black Bear and Puseyville roads in East Drumore Township.  The fire company was called to the scene around 3:20 p.m. on Jan. 22.  "No injuries, the horse was ok," the fire…

Grandpa's 'Hiney Is Burned' Fire Hospitalizes PA Grandparents, Family Says Elderly grandparents are in the hospital after an early morning house fire on Tuesday, Pennsylvania State Police announced that evening.  An 87-year-old woman and a 76-year-old man were taken to a hospital with injuries they suffered after their home caught fire at 4:16 a.m. on Nov. 21, state police troopers detailed in a release.  The Refton Fire Company was the first to arrive at the scene of the house fire on White Oak Road in Strasburg Township. Person Trapped In Flipped Car In Quarryville: Authorities A person was rescued from a flipped car in Quarryville on Friday, February 17, authorities say.  The Quarryville Fire Company was called to help the Refton Community Fire Company after a person was found pinned by the car they were driving in the 100 block of Truce Rd. in Providence Township around 8:35 a.m., QFC explained in a release later that morning.
