Officials Identify Man, 58, Who Drowned In Swatara Creek A fallen tree in a local creek has led to the death of a Harrisburg area man, according to officials. The man who drowned in Swatara Creek on Saturday has been identified as Stephen "Steve" Matrese Sr., 58, of Marysville and Harrisburg. The drowning happened while crews we're attempting to rescue him, among others on Saturday around 12:30 p.m. and he was found dead on Sunday around 1 p.m., as Daily Voice previously reported.
