A 14-year-old boy was arrested on his way to school with a gun, according to police. The unnamed William Penn high school student was spotted hiding a firearm in the 200 block of West Princess Street before going to school on Wednesday, Mar. 30, York City police state in a release. He was seen by York City detectives, who were in the area as part of increased surveillance details around school campuses following a spike in violence in the city. A fellow 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of his peer at a Pennsylvania park on Wednesday, authorities say. Javion Roman, of York, was arrested for the murder of Malaki Beady on Friday, Mar. 25, according to an updated release by York city police. A high school senior has been identified as the teenager police found shot dead in a Pennsylvania park on Wednesday, authorities say.
