Police K-9 Dies Of Brain Tumor, Adams County Sheriff Mourns Favorite Co-Worker The Adams County Sheriff is mourning the loss of his favorite co-worker, his four-legged friend Leggy. Leggy, whose full name is Deputy Alegra, died Monday of a brain tumor. The K-9 had served the community for 11 years, teaching about safety and working as an explosive detector. Her partner was Sheriff James Muller who trained her and worked with her during her time with the force. Leggy made spaces safe for officers to enter a scene and safely do their work.
