The undisclosed "fire incident," was first announced by Waynesboro police around 12:30 p.m. on Monday, August 22, 2022.

The police asked the public to avoid "West Main Street in the area of Prices Church Road," but a few minutes later the Waynesboro Volunteer Fire Department announced Buchanan Trail East has also been shut down in the area of Prices Church Road.

The closures are expected to last "for an extended amount of time."

The fire is supposedly in a large commercial garage at Patterson's Diesel located at 6557 Buchanan Trail East, according to police and fire radio scanners, but Daily Voice has been unable to independently confirm this was of 2 p.m.
