The call to the fire in the 100 block of East Chestnut Street came into Lancaster County Wide Communications at 5:05 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9, according to dispatch logs. Shot Child Hospitalized, PA State Police Say (Developing) A boy is in the hospital after being shot in Central Pennsylvania, state troopers announced on Monday, Oct. 7.  The unnamed child was taken in a private vehicle to  Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital in East Pennsboro Township on Sunday, Oct. 6, according to PSP Troopers in Carlisle.  The preliminary investigation has led PA State Police to believe the child was shot in Carroll Township, York County, although the investigation remains active.
