Ricardo Vilorio-Hernandez, 56, of Tampa, was sentenced to 40 to 80 years in prison on Tuesday, Feb. 18, by Lancaster County Judge Thomas Sponaugle, who called his crimes “horrible” and said he “deserves a long sentence.” The judge also classified him as a sexually violent predator. Woman Stabbed In Lancaster City Park A woman was hospitalized after a stabbing in a Lancaster city park on Saturday, according to area police. Officers were called to a report of a woman stabbed in a leg and the chest at Culliton Park near South Water and West Strawberry streets around 9:20 p.m. The woman was transported to an area hospital. She is expected to survive as her injuries were minor and not life-threatening. Witnesses told police the woman was attacked by another woman. Police continue to attempt to identify the suspect. Anyone with information about this incident should contact police.

Body Found In Lancaster Street Being Investigated As Suspicious Death A body found on a Lancaster street on Wednesday morning is being investigated as a suspicious death, according to city police. Lancaster City Bureau of Police were called to do a welfare check in the 200 block of West Strawberry Street just before 9 a.m. Officers discovered a body while checking the location.  Detectives from the Bureau's Criminal Investigative Division responded to the scene to gather evidence and speak with persons in the neighborhood.  Detectives remained on the scene for many hours and traffic was diverted from the area through the afternoon.
